A family oriented group out of St. Petersburg, FL, two siblings and two friends come together to bring back good ol’ church group “sangin'”. Humbled and willing to give God their all, Chosen is determined to have their lives and music on the same page. Thus, their testimony in song and new single “We Won’t Hold Back“. Passing the crown; Miss Black Illinois 2015 Pageant

The legendary Dusable Museum of African American History hosted the 2015 Miss Black Illinois Pageant on Saturday, Oct. 25. Actor Richard Gallion and Gospel House Music Diva Dana Divine were the Master and Mistress of Ceremonies. Amid the clamour of applause only one of the young women would walk away with the title to represent those who have come before her to lead and set an example for those to come after. Under the tutelage of Tina DeNard, Executive Director of the Miss Black Illinois Scholarship organization, each contestant is groomed to shine regardless of wearing the title. Style and charisma blazed the catwalk during Chicago Fashion Week

Chicago Fashion Week 2014 concluded with a bang. Kiwi’s Boutique, located 1015 S. Western Ave. in the UIC district, turned up the glam with Celebrity Stylist J. Bolin’s Bootcamp and models gracing the runway with local designer’s fashion. Sunday, Oct. 19, Society Art Gallery on the northwest side of Chicago was the backdrop to eclectic attendees, tasty hor d’oeuvres, bumpin music and, of course, high fashion.

‘Champions’: Five V Men, five voices, one sound

New contemporary Gospel male group Five V Men (MBM Entertainment Group) burst on the scene, Tuesday, Oct. 21, with one of the best albums of 2014. Gospel music legends Doug and Melvin Williams, Wess Morgan, Shawn McLemore and R & B crooner Christopher Williams have banded together to create a sound of melodious harmony. BIBO Tour Chicago 2014: Beauty in action

The Beauty In/Beauty Out (BIBO) Tour Chicago 2014 celebrated and honored some of the most intelligent beautiful women from various backgrounds Saturday, Oct. 11 with a lavished event at Catalyst Ranch, located in the West Loop Downtown area. Traci S. Campbell, Founder of BIBO, has dedicated her life to uplifting and educating young women. In her quest to do so, she has solicited experts, in their own rite, to mentor and highlight their accomplishments to encourage the young women.
