Chicago Mass Choir culminates Summer of Praise Tour with 2 Dove Awards nods

Chicago Mass Choir is a staple in Gospel music across the nation and around the world. This year, Chicago Mass Choir hit the road on their Summer of Praise Tour creating a joyful noise wherever they stopped. The Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards announced, September 1, nominations for 2016 and the Chicago Mass Choir has been nominated for two awards. Whether a television appearance or festival performance, Chicago Mass Choir ultimate goal is point their audience to the One, who made it possible for them to reach the masses, God.

The Summer of Praise Tour covered a lot of ground from taping at the TBN studio and former Chicago Mayoral and Presidential candidate Willie Wilson’s Singsation and BET’s legendary Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel Farewell show. They made appearances on Fox32 Good Day Chicago, Windy City Live, and performed at several fairs and festivals throughout the country. The Chicago Mass Choir even performed the National Anthem to open a Chicago Bulls’ game. Their summer has been jammed packed with no intentions of slowing down.

Gearing up for the Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards in October, the Chicago Mass Choir is nominated for Tradition Gospel Album of the Year and Tradition Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for their single Thank you, Thank you Jesus. The Chicago Mass Choir has ridden the airwaves with their singles Thank y0u, Thank you Jesus featuring songtress Lemmie Battles and I Give You Praise Lord from their newly released album We Give You Praise (New Haven Records, April 2016).
