Is it your faith or your authority?

As Christians we tend to believe every adversity is an opportunity to prove and build our faith. For some this might be true. Your tests and trials are custom made for you. One thing I learned is no matter how much faith I have the obstacles still come.

There are many Preachers telling us we lack faith and that is the reason why our mountains have not moved. So knowing this, it couldn’t be at least not in my case. I decided to reflect on my faith and trials. No one could make me believe my faith is smaller than a mustard seed. My faith was strong. Everything I endured I endured head on in faith. So why was I going through what seemed to be a cycle of the same trials? Nonetheless each trial and test brings forth a lesson and maturity. So it’s okay. Just don’t grow weary. Keep standing.

And then there’s that thing God gave us in our inheritance. Most Preachers don’t preach on it and most Preachers don’t realize they have it. I’m referring to the powerful word, AUTHORITY. It is written in several scriptures the AUTHORITY we have. My favorite one is Luke 10:19, “Behold, I have given you AUTHORITY to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all power of the enemy and nothing shall hurt you.”

When we know who we are and whose we are adversity will be a little easier to handle and some may not come. I went from crying and praying through every attack to boldly binding every attack. Shut down satan’s attacks, because it is your God-given right. Walk in your AUTHORITY and watch things change. Most Christians have the faith, but lack the knowledge of their AUTHORITY.  I encourage you to read Luke 10:19 and Matthew 16:19.
